AVS-elli high security HVM Barriers
AVS-elli’s range of high security hostile vehicle mitigation barriers are either designed and built in Australia or manufactured in Australia under licence from other proven and tested designs.
We are specialists in energy dissipation methods to arrest hostile vehicles. Our HVM products are predominantly designed to be installed on existing concrete slabs and roadways with little or no foundation required. The AVS-elli designs are clean sheet designs developed by us over many years to provide flexible adaptive barriers for use where standard mass foundation type barriers are not appropriate, or local weather conditions mean that long periods of water inundation are unavoidable.
AVS-elli barriers have protected the Prime Minister of Australia, the Cabinet of Australian Government, the last two Presidents of the USA when visiting Australia and the English Princes when they visit.
LW3 FOLDING BLOCK BARRIER
RAPID INSTALL, RE-LOCATABLE, 950 WIDE BLADE
The LW3 barrier offers many of the benefits of the larger FOLDING BLOCK barriers, its narrow gauge enables it to be an effective, unobtrusive protection for walkways, small roadways & laneways, and access doors. Ideal for creating chicanes and altering approach routes and managing traffic flow. Engineered to 260 KJ. 950mm wide blade.
LW3 "QUICKFIT" BARRIER
MODULAR, PALLET PACKED, RAPID INSTALL
Designed for very quick installation where no surface attachment or mains power is available. Using the LW3 Folding Block barrier attached to a pair of McGirr type blocks provides a level of protection not previously available to Expeditionary Security forces and temporary event security in high risk areas.
LW1.4 FOLDING BLOCK BARRIER
RAPID INSTALL, RE-LOCATABLE, 1.4M BLADE
The LW1.4 is a cost effective barrier for commercial applications in service stations (drive off protection), carparks, vehicle dealerships and other related applications. LW1.4 barriers can be specified as manually operated or electrically operated.
LW4C FOLDING BLOCK BARRIER
RAPID INSTALL, RE-LOCATABLE, 2.8M BLADE
The LW4C vehicle barrier is renowned for its effectiveness: weight ratio, and ability to be easily transported and quickly installed. Capable of extremely fast activation, and should the barrier be impacted, it can be immediately replaced for a rapid return to service. Rated to 300 KJ.
LW7 FOLDING BLOCK BARRIER
RAPID INSTALL, RE-LOCATABLE, 3.0M BLADE
The LW7 is the largest barrier in the LW series. Designed for very heavy loads, both traffic and impact, it is engineered for 700kj. It has a 2980mm wide blade and stands 800 mm high when activated (dependent if barrier is recessed into foundation). Typically installed on a permanent basis in high duty cycle environments.
TEMPORARY RAPID DEPLOYMENT BARRIER SYSTEMS
RAPID INSTALL, NO FOUNDATIONS
AVS-elli have developed interface units to enable LW Series barriers to be incorporated within temporary or fixed barrier arrangements such as HighwayCare BarrierGuard and HESCO Bastion systems. This enables high security vehicle portals to be quickly incorporated without any requirement for foundations thus providing maximum deployment flexibility whilst maintaining the integrity and rating of the barrier structures.
TSM 3M/2M SURFACE MOUNT BARRIER
HEAVY DUTY, 3.0M OR 2.0M VARIANTS
Tested in accordance with PAS 68, 7.5 tonnes at 80kph with a 3m barrier. The TSM 3M/2M is a fast acting rising barrier available in 3m or 2m widths. Can be surface mounted or recessed, it is designed to be reliable and durable. Various paint finishes and other options are available.
HDA DROP ARM BARRIER
HIGH SECURITY HVM BARRIER UP TO 5M WIDE
The AVS-elli Drop Arm barrier is a most cost effective solution where a rated barrier is required in low traffic flow areas. Tested to PAS 68, 7.5 tonne at 48 kph. Manual or automatic operation, opens in seconds. For road openings up to 5m. All steel construction. Available in hot dip galvanised or painted finish. Locking options available.
ARSB ANTI RAM SLIDING ARM BARRIER

The AVS-elli ARSB Anti Ram Sliding Barrier is a cost effective solution where a rated vehicle barrier is required. The sliding boom can either be non-powered or automated with AVS-elli’s reliable drive system. This barrier is ideal for situations where it is not possible to install a rising barrier or there is limited overhead room for a rising boom barrier.
Available with a clear opening of 3000mm or 4500mm.

AVS-elli can supply a full range of fixed security bollards, designed to prevent unwanted vehicle access. Bollards can range from lightweight models right through to PAS 68 rated bollards.
Shallow mount bollards are are also available and are suitable for difficult sites where underground services cannot be disturbed.

AVS-elli can manufacture high security cantilever sliding gates for all applications. Hot dip galvanised steel construction together with reliable industrial motor drive units provide a solid solution where a sliding gate is required.
BG800 Barrier Lifter
Designed and engineered to lift BG800 barrier safely and easily.
The BG800 Lifter is designed to facilitate loading and unloading of BarrierGuard BG800 to/from trucks and place the barrier sections into position on the roadway using a truck-mounted crane. The product was developed to improve OH&S issues – in particular to remove the need for personnel to stand on trucks to attach barrier sections to the lifting equipment.
