LW7H Temporary Rapid Deployment Site Protection System
HESCO and AVS-elli have cooperated to design and develop an interface to integrate the AVS-elli range of automated and manual PAS 68 vehicle barriers into the Hesco range of PAS 68 rated barriers and fences.
The combined barrier system is designed for rapid deployment to secure long complex perimeters for major public events, restricted access building sites, corrective services sites, defence sites and airport and dockside areas when high value vessels are parked up. The system is truly surface mountable with no fixings of any kind required.
Testing
In April and July of 2012, AVS-elli tested their cradle and interface system in two UK based manufacturers’ temporary barriers systems. These systems were developed for use at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
The tests performed were in accordance with the CPNI PAS 68 requirements and involved the impact of a 7.5 tonne truck at 48 kmh.
