The Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) scheme is an Australian Government financial assistance program for aspiring and current exporters. Administered by Austrade, the scheme supports a wide range of industry sectors and products, including the export of intellectual property and know-how outside Australia.
AVS-elli has developed a number of unique patented innovations in vehicle barrier technology and blast and ballistic protection systems. It is very costly to develop new technology and we value any assistance that the Australian government provides.
AVS-elli are leaders in their field. We continue to develop new products and have been working hard on our product exports and they are installed in places such as the UK, Solomon Islands, New Zealand, with equipment about to be deployed West Africa. Additionally AVS-elli Quickfit systems have been deployed in many sites that Navy visits.
It should be noted that the receipt of the EMDG and R & D tax grants have had a major and material influence in AVS-elli being able to develop and sell our technology overseas. We hope that whatever government is in charge continues with these development and assistance packages.
